Rachel Loftus Green, designer of Rach.L jewellery has always loved being creative and has been painting, sculpting, doing craftwork, making jewellery, handbags and clothes as a hobby ever since she was a little girl.

Having studied fine art in school, Rachel passionately painted whenever there was a moment to spare, filling her parents house with magnificent creations as well as beautiful, soulful music from the cello that she played from the young age of six.

Aged eighteen, she travelled to Florence, Italy to study the arts in one of the most exquisite and culturally rich cities of the world. The experience inspired her to follow a path that fused together both her creative and intellectual natural talents, leading her to study a prestigious degree in Architecture at the University of Manchester the following year.

Alongside studying architecture, Rachel continued to feed her passion for creativity, and began making exquisite, intricately beaded and embellished bags out of beautiful pieces of silk, suede, lace, skins, ribbons, chains, tassels.... anything at hand! She later started dress making, producing the most original, elegant and edgy clothes using materials and trimmings gathered over the years.

Meanwhile, Rachel finished her Architecture Degree, and went straight into an excellent architectural firm for a year and a half, all the while brushing up on computer and graphics skills, learning computer aided design, 3D animation, photo manipulation, web design, and a host of other computer programming skills.

In 2004 she decided to take a break from architecture for a while to pursue a more creative career path merging her hobbies and passions with intellect and disciplines acquired over the years.

Rachel went to work for a very talented and successful jewellery designer, helping out in all aspects of the business and in the process learning the ropes herself. She assisted in London Fashion Week, helping design the stand, producing the catalogues, and meeting customers.

Upon leaving this job, Rachel worked with Sera Hersham, famous interior designer to the stars, who was opening an incredible shop full of her own fabulous creations (Rude lampshades, Sera parfum, Sera`s foxy cushions, etc.) as well as clothing and accessories from some of the most exclusive designers in the world.

Whilst working with Sera in the summer of 2005, Rachel began designing and making jewellery for herself between working hours, gradually building up a gorgeous collection which people noticed and desperately wanted to buy. Through word of mouth she has acquired a huge list of clientele who love working with her and come back over and over again. Rachel specialises in working together with clients to create bespoke, individual pieces, perfect for their needs.

So far her customers have ranged from the most beautiful Saudi Princesses (who make special appointments with Rachel when they come to London), as well as fashionable girls and women of all ages ranging from eight years old to eighty-nine! Rachel often takes part in exclusive designer sales in offices such as Condenast Publishing in Vogue House, and does many charity events.

Rachel offers a fabulous bridal and bespoke service, particularly popular also with bridesmaids and eveningwear, whereby ladies can come and choose jewellery from the magnificent permanent collection or have pieces made especially - often bringing their dresses to the studio so that things can be made perfectly to match. As Rachel was recently a bride herself, she understands how important and special this time is for them and so she makes the whole experience an absolute pleasure for everyone involved.

Rach.L jewellery is versatile, being extremely elegant and chic, it can be worn with eveningwear to make a sexy statement or add delicate sparkle, as well as casual, alluding cool edginess. The designs are alluringly tactile, swirling coloured stones, sparkling crystals, shimmering pearls, and silky tassels seduce the eye. As with past interests, she collects gemstones from all over the world, mixing materials and disciplines to create new and fabulous creations.
